Hey that was a few years ago. The 240D is now a parts car. The trunk lock has always worked since I "broke into" the trunk and fixed the lock and mechanism.

So I went for a little drive and when I arrived I looked and noticed the trunk slightly open!? I had to close it since I wasn't home. I hope I can get it open again so I can lube it. I think that will fix it!!

mmm I dont believe they even alarm systems..I thought they started appearing around 84-86...

I know neither of my 82 300SD's have them.
