Seller says low compression?
From the ad, it sound like he either knows nothing (or everything) about cars.

Despite the fact that the ad was in all caps, I read it anyway. I hate it when people do that.
Seller says motor is junk, yet still wants three grand. Methinks he needs to step away from the crack pipe. |
180K miles and low compression? Something's wrong. The ad mentions water damage (and a salvage title). Wonder if it sucked water? Odd...
|
Go take a look at it. Take a compression tester and ask him how much biodiesel has been ran in it.

If it went under water even halfway, I wouldn't have it!

Water damage + salvage title = tough to insure, if you were considering it
Even as a parts car, it's a mixed bag - electrics might be iffy, interior may have mildew issues. Is the compression bad because it sucked in water and rusted? Were the bearings repacked or are they going to wear? |
When an enigne sucks in water, rust is the least of your concerns. Bending rods is most common. Water dont compress well.
|
I looked at the add again, where does it say anything about water damage or salvage title? what an I missing here?
