1980 240D Exhaust System Question
I see the three parts that I need to replace- I know I need clamps and hangers to get the job done.
But on the PeachParts site under the parts, there's a few I'm wondering about. Specifically, what is: Exhaust Buffer Exhaust Damper Exhaust Nut Is there something beyond the hangers, clamps and three main pieces I need to to know about? Please let me know. Thanks. Jay |
For sure you'll need the exhaust and muffler sections. Also clamps, hardware (downpipe to exhaust manifold), and rubber hangers. The buffers are just rubber blocks that prevent the muffler from hitting the body. Those you probably can reuse...

The damping pad looks like a donut hanger to me, they're cheap.
