Well this will be an interesting cluster.

It is supposed to start snowing and sleeting in Atlanta at 12 today. Considering we haven't had any bad winter weather in something like 5 years this is going to make the drive home a complete cluster.

And my friends all make fun of me for having snow chains....

not alone

Memphis had 1 or so inches of snow overnight. BOTH diesels started right off and are "at work" now. Temp is 26 and dropping all day w/ more precip on the way. Low of 9 here tonight. Not above freezing until sunday. Welcome to the mid south!

Been hearing reports that it won't start until...anywhere from 1pm to 4pm or even later....and then temps are supposed to rise to 42F?! (heard that on the radio this morning).
The biggest problem is going to be the bridges and overpasses...but I think that they're pre-emptively supposed to be spreading the road crap early to help out.
Still think you're right though...it's not going to be fun to be on the road when it starts.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a good 12-18" :D

A bit late now, but I'd take the bus, or at least leave by 3 or after 6 to miss the confusion. Chances are too good someone will slide into you.

The central and eastern states are really getting pounded this winter. Send us some of that moisture -- we could use it. It's 45F and foggy here, terrible weather, haven't seen the sun for days. Wish it would either rain for clear up.

We're all bracing for impact here in Northwestern PA!

I drove the benz...at least I feel safer than the common man *fat grin*

looking forward to the snow

After we lost power in our neighborhood last year, my neighbor, an older lady, needed a ride to the Hampton Inn. My Benz at the time, safely delivered her to her destination! Eager to see how my current one fairs!

Last year The power line came loose from the side of the house so the car was trapped in the garage until most of the Ice/Snow was gone.

That’s the truth, nothing but fog and drippy for days. It's hard to get enthusiastic about going outside to do much of anything.

It's in the low 60's today way down in So. Florida although in the evenings the temps drop at least 20˚ or more... Brrrr. :earmuffs:

Jeremy, we have had sun here in the santa Cruz area all week . little cloudy, but mostly sunny :sun1:.
Our summers is when we get the crappy fog, Oct to Dec is our best weather.

You need the cold foggy weather to keep all those wine bottles cool :D
