urgent helppppppppppppp!

Hi Everyone,

I need any help I can get in finding injectors and engine bearing.
The problem is that I own a 2003 grand cherokee crd 2.7 limited, It has a Mercedes engine, but I'm not sure which one, is it OM612? ENF? like the E-class? ML270? I'm desperate! any help will be appreciated!

OK calm down.

We can`t help you if you don`t give some more info. or maybe a picture or two.

There is a large difference in a 612 and a ML 270. did you mean a 617?

Did you purchase this with the engine already installed? or did you install it your self?

Charlie

Wow, you're quick guys!
This is the original engine. I'm not in Europe but I can get some help from friends in England and Germany. What would you suggest?

Your engine is built by VM Motori, owned first by DDC (who was bought out by Mercedes parent company, then by Penske. Not sure who to get injectors from -Jeep? (which was owned by Mercedes) MB? MTU? (which was a MB company).

Help? or not? Pull them yourself?

The 647 replaced the 612, they were both common rail direct injection, I am not sure if they had the same injectors. I think the 647 was used in some MB sprinters. Maybe Roy (whunter) can shed some light on this if he is about? You should be able to find out who manufactured the injectors, I dont know if it was bosch, and get the bits you require direct from them. Why are you after complete injectors? Tips is normally all that is needed.

I think this thread has more to it than is showing. Engine bearings & injectors are a strange combination. Maybe injector, piston, rod & bearing would be more like it.
