front sub-frame bushing help
I have read a lot of threads on front sub-frame bushings and have a question. On a W115 do you need to take the engine mounting bolts out? Can I use jack stands under the body and use a jack to raise and lower the sub-frame from under the coil spring?(one side at a time)

I just got my febi mounts from phil!!! Has no one completed a front sub-frame bushing job on a w115?

I have.
No you don't need to disconnect the motor mounts. Disconnect the shock, brake line, sway bar link. Place a jack under the lower control arm and then remove the 2 15mm mounting bolts, slowly lower the jack and pry out old bushings and install new ones. Only do one side at the time. Good Luck |
Thank you!!! Do you need a puller for the sway bar link?

no, just remove the bolts and washers holding it on

That is as clear as it gets!! Thanks.
