Electric Recirculating water pump??
I have a 1993 mercedes 300D. The car produces heat quickly, as I have found on mercedes. Problem is when I come to a stop, so does my heat. It blows cool air, and will produce heat once I start building up RPM's. In my 1987 190D, this problem was solved by changing out the electric recirculating pump. I tried to locate the pump on this car (looking in the same place as my 190D...no pump.) I did find a valve closer to the firewall, pax side, but I am not sure what this valve does. Looking for some ideas.

It has one
But I don't know where.
Buymbparts.biz shows one for $58 in the cooling (not climate) section. Check the picture and then follow the lines until you find it.

The auxiliary coolant pump should be on the left (driver) side of the engine, down low and attached to the first firewall near the steering column. At least that's where it is on my '87 300D Turbo (W124, OM603). YMMV.

Found it
Thank you very much for your help. I tracked the lines on the right side, just never went to the left side. Got the bugger!
