injection pump timing
1) which direction (rotating towards /away from the engine ) advances the injector pump timing?
2) will advancing the timing give a little more low end torque to get going? john

rotating the top of the IP towards the valve cover will advance the time of injection. you will feel more 'pep' upon pressing the pedal, but turbo lag will be increased. ....unrelated, but you could also see an increase in blowby gas volume. |

I think it was Dr Burt that has a thread concerning advancing the timing.
I tried it and while the Car did seem a little peppier it (in my case) also nailed some (with recently rebuilt Monark Injectors). So I moved it back about 1/2 of what I had advanced it and reduced the nailing some and I believe retained a little of the pep.
