With the fan out of balance, you are placing undue wear on the water pump bearings. You may only have 120 miles left, of which you just used 100. Or, you could have 10k miles left. My philosophy is, if something is broken, fix it. If it can cause more damage by being broken, fix it now. Why induce problems? These cars are fairly maintenance intensive, why create extra work?

You are lucky that more bits haven't broken off the fan blades, there is a good chance that they would either go through the radiator, a hose or even hit the hood. It is reasonably unusual to break bits off unless they have been hit by something like a wrench that was left under the hood.
You should be able to get one at a junk yard, they are not something every one is looking for.
I wouldn't drive around with a broken fan blade. I'm not lucky enough to get away with it.

If the water pump bearings can handle the continuous asymmetric load of the drive belts, they won't even notice a broken blade on a plastic fan.

i will replace the fan immediately. the car is not a DD. i will fix the blade asap, after that i will put the car on the market for sale to trade in for a 126 with half the miles.

i have a windshield company scheduled to replace the gasket this friday, not sure if i want to put the money into this venture any suggestions.?

i paid too much for the car at 3200 and would like to get out from underneath this deal.
