Pulling 601 Timing Cover - Must Remove IP?

Sorry,
A fairly thorough search did not yield the info I was looking for. Is there a way to pull the timing cover off of a 601 and not lose the injection timing? I know there are three main bolts that hold the IP onto the block/TC. I am concerned about taking off the bolts and the IP will be flopping in the breeze only held on by the timing device center reverse-thread bolt (and chain). FSM as always is a tad bit ambiguous. I am in the middle of it, so any help w/b appreciated. Thanks!

Arrows mark the visible bolts from side and front....appear to be the only bolts holding the IP in. I think I will rig up something to keep the pump stable while I remove the timing cover.

In addition to the three long bolts which secure the IP to the block at the front end there is a fourth bolt and a bracket at the rear of the IP which needs to be removed when the IP is completely uninstalled. That fourth bolt and the bracket at the rear should prevent the IP from moving very much while the three longer front bolts are completely removed.

Ps did you know your second picture is upside down!

Thanks - good info. The engine is on a stand upside down - timing cover removal is a lot easier that way, not to mention crankshaft, main bearings, rod bearings, etc :)
