are my Windshield washer nozzles heated?
So, I'm fixing my windshield washer. It hasn't worked since I bought the car. I simply replaced the pump and small grommet and the Driver side worked. Well, it shot fluid over the windshield, over the top and onto the wall in the back of my garage.
Well, simple question. on my 83 300sd, why would the washer nozzles need power? I see the wires running to it. Heated? Did they oscillate? do they shut off to produce vacuum to keep the water there? (thats what the check valve that I just broke is for but you know those silly German engineers, always over building.) PS: the more time and money I spend on this car, the more I love it. I'm beginning to see the engineering beauty. Although, if someone offered my money back, I'd probably take it.

They are heated when the climate control is set to heating...that is if they still work.

Take a "push pin" or something like that, and stick it in the windshield squirter nozzle too adjust the "direction of squirt" .

Yeah, I was thinking I could put some easily washable ink in it after it warms up a bit. Can you imagine?
At night you can just floor it and let them suck soot.
