1987 300TD Rear spindle/knuckle interchange with other w124 wagons?

The passenger side rear wheel bearing on my 87 300TD is worn out and needs replacement.

A local parts yard has a rear knuckle assembly with low miles from a 1994 E320 Wagon. Can anyone confirm for me whether this later model knuckle and wheel hub would interchange with my early model w124 wagon? Or was there a difference between the later model wagons?

I think you should be good. Afaik it is a wagon specific thing versus the typical sedan

Right, wagon knuckle is unique afaik, I was just hoping that someone could confirm that a 1994 w124 wagon knuckle and hub would be the same as an 1987 w124 wagon.

I used car-part.com to locate the yards locally that have a wagon, but I'm not sure whether I would expect them have authoritative knowledge on w124 wagon knuckle interchangeability

Not sure if these threads may answer your question:

My 1987 300TD wagon was sold and my 2003 W210 E320 wagon was totaled (sheds tear).

Yes John Vstech and I fixed my (well now it’s his again) 87 300TD rear end with parts from a 90s gas S124 so it is possible.
