Broken Turbo flex pipe.

After getting the B2 valve in, i noticed that my flex pipe that from the turbo to the down pipe exhaust has broken, i was wanting to know if i could use this as an alternative click here

Perhaps if you can get it to attach securely to the turbo and the exhaust.

Where did it break/crack?

daw_two 02-03-2010 04:03 PM

I might have one.

I've also got some other stuff for you.

Boy, that is a nice looking Flex Pipe on eBay!

However, if you decide not to use that and get a use one at the Junk Yard. I would suggest bringing something along to crack the Nut that tightens the Flex Pipe to the Turbo.
I have tried on 2 occasions to reomove Flex Pipes at the Junk Yard only to find that the Nuts were frozen on so bad that it was either going to ruin the band or snap the T-Bolt on it.

I repaired mine about a year and a half ago by wrapping it with a piece of sheet metal smeared with silicone. I held it in place with two hose clamps. So far so good. I did order a whole new pipe back then but I haven't installed because the repair has held up so well.

Well mine broke in two, the mid section of it just fell apart, Mercedes dealer wants $250 for it

Just fix it right. When mine failed I just replaced the whole pipe section, been great since....and it fit properly. Of course that is the only stock part of the exhaust on my car, from there onward its a 2.5" straight pipe. :D :D

Mine went last summer, broke clean off where the flex connects to the lower pipe. It sounded pretty sweet but the drone got old pretty quick. A new one is about $140 from ********; although not stainless, the one I got from ******** looks to be about the same quality as the one on ebay.

The local muffler shop installed this for me, can't remember exactly, probably around $150.
Check post #16, I had the resonators replaced with a straight pipe from there back to a stock ANSA muffler.

car-part.com or local junkyard ftw. 126 IS different than 123.

Hmmmm....

I have had a weird rattle under the hood. It is not the air cleaner, the mounts or the mount itself. I wonder if this might be the culprit?

Are these things breaking at the flanges where they mount or in the middle somewhere?

Oil return tube might not be fastened properly to the bottom of air cleaner, or exhaust heat shield might be rattling. They're in the same area, so it might throw you off.
