This is driving me nuts. When making a right hand turn I'm hearing a loud "spring" noise. It sounds as if the rear coil spring is lifting out of its mount. I've looked at the coil springs in back and the shocks, can't see any obvious problem.

Any suggestions

Info.

Wagon or sedan? Which side is the noise coming from? Are the rubber spring pads at the top of the springs in place? In good shape? Also maybe take a real close look at the swaybar links.

Jay.

BabyJames, your were right on, sway bar link at rear right has pulled loose. Is this an easy fix? Looks like just replacing link from axel to sway bar should do it??

Its a simple job. You'll need a 17mm end wrench or two. One end has a nut on it the other threads directly in. Remove the nut screw out the other end and put the new one in. Its a quick 15 minute job. I don't think you even need to take the wheel off.
