The first summer I had my e300d, I fought the same issue. Had it towed 3-4 times and killed a starter before I found the air leak. Mine was on one of the plastic fuel lines going into the shut-off valve. I think I paid $20ish for a full set of viton o-rings

Amfo is a cheaper alt to a stick of what you wanted!! We have used it for removing a few stumps here. You already have one of the 2 main ingredients in your fuel tank. The other is a common fertilizer. Be careful if you are going to play with that stuff though, it doesnt say excuse me !!! & there may be a law against it where you are.
