I had blower problems a few months ago. I pulled a few used motors from the junk yards. Each got blasted with orange cleaner and dryed with WD 40 while running, actually came out pretty clean. The original motor began working again. I was quoted $400 for a new unit, no way when I can get the used units for $15. One motor did something strange, when you hooked it up to power it would not run in the mounted position but when you turned it upside down it run at full steam, wierd. I am not fond of the climate control units on 300D, the 240D system is much better with manuel motor controls.

I pulled my 240's blower motor and tried a ford 06' F series pickup blower motor. Other than the squirrel cage being 1" longer and made of plastic
the motor had the same dimensions even the bolt holes lined up.
Shaft had the same half moon cut to it and it seemed to spin faster. It seems as if it would accept the 240's squirrel cage and fit the housing. Still checking and havent gotten that far yet.

The ford motor is a Siemens as well . The only draw back was the motor cooling tube. Fords is external and Mercedes has the internal spiral one

Same here...

I need a blower motor too... I already replaced the brushes but the commutator/armature is pretty worn out already and it squeaks at low blower speed, and occasionally blows the fuse. Part # is 0 130 111 103
