Well I found the exhaust leak it was the muffler it had a big leak behind it, I also looked at the turbo and it has a little play in the shaft. Could that be the reason for the heasetation?

I doubt the little play in the shaft is a big issue. Certainly not the best. Since so much heat is involved perhaps they are normally a smigeon loose.The best way to test the turbo for active function is to monitor the boost pressure I suppose. Again the archives will help in that area.
