I've seen a few of his cars over the years; they're all hiding something. I saw his CR ad that night before, ran his phone number, then recognized who he was. I was leery, but I went to see anyways. He bought the car at an insurance auction; the good news is that it's best to buy it crunched like that and get it fixed right than to let his cheap hands on it, do a cheap repair, then buy it looking pretty but half-assed fixed.
Someone hit the car in the middle of the driver's door, then went in further on the front driver's quarter mashing the wheel upwards in the process. It would need new quarter, new inner, new wheel, new steering/suspension for that side, new driver's door, and God knows what else once you take it apart. It's not my thing. The car however, was a 79k mile signal red on tan diesel wagon that looked like it was well-loved until the accident.
It could be bought for $4500 from him, then you could have a shop repair for $5000-$6000 to do it right, and the car would be worth what you have in it. Except for the salvage title - that really kills a car to me, and the value of a killed car is much lower than a clean-titled one.
