Unfortunately it won't work on the later valves. This valves that are in the 126 and 124 chassis are different than the 123 chassis valves. And they are not rebuildable. Unfortunately you can not take the valve completely apart without destroying it. You have to replace it with a good used one or a new one.

I'd like another kit to have as a back up.
I had great success with a kit I purchased a few years ago. I now have another W123 TD and want to have an extra kit on the shelf.
Thanks in advance. |

W123 300TD SLS valve
Would like to get a kit from the OP but not sure if he is still selling them? Please PM me if anyone has one of these kits for sale. I also need to re seal my SLS pump, as I am getting engine oil into my SLS tank. If anyone knows where to get a kit for the pump, or has any info on pump rebuild, please PM me. Friends don't let friends by o-rings for >$100 from certain sources.

I have just registerd so I Hope I am doing this right? I bought a 1992 300TD a couple of months ago which needed a few things done to make it a nice ride - one of these was the self leveling suspension was totally on its lowest height. I put into a local independent mercedes shop and let them do the hard work but after 5 weeks they gave up after fitting new spheres they were stuck. I had this done as I am recovering from wrist surgery but when I got the car home I just had to have a go with the help of extra painkillers and found the cam mounted radial pump was leaking and had been for some time so I sourced o rings locally and refurbed it. I have loosened hydraulic pipe connections and fluid is flowing freely at all points. But it has not made any difference - I was looking at the rear underside yesterday and no leaks are present so I need to know how to diagnose either the shocks or leveling valve. I disconnected the operating arm on the valve and it will rotate 360 degrees is that normal! If not will your seal kit work on my valve. Thanks Ged |

Anyone heard from the Biodiesel300td lately? See he hasn't been on in nearly a year and I was going to grab his rebuild kit.

I haven't. I just bought enough o-rings for 10 rebuilds for a whopping $13.29 including shipping though, at a place called The O Ring Store. I'll file a full report when I've done the rebuild, but they'll probably work. |
