Seat Motor Problem -1984 SD
After having my car repaired, I could not move seat. Mechanic had moved it front, now it won't move. Just got done trying a new switch, still doesn't work.
All other seat movements work. Any suggestions?

Look under the seat for a loose plug. There are two.

Can you hear the motor attempt to move the seat? I get from your current troubleshooting that it doesn't. If it does attempt to move, sometimes lubrication of the rail convinces it cooperate. It's likely you will have to take it loose from the floor to apply any lubricant where it will do any good. While it is loose, check the drive cable and make sure it is seated at the end, check for a snap ring. If it tries to turn but "pops" it may need replacing. (The cable itself is a replacable part.)
Look for a connector that contains a violet wire. I believe the front-rear (entire-seat) is on its own connector (C2)
