Just purchased my first car. so excited, I felt the need to make a post

It's a 1984 300CD I picked up for a little over a grand. needs work, but I'm gonna have fun restoring it
here's the photo shoot after I took it home http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/members/tfernandez-albums-1984-300cd.html
needs a transmission service and an oil leak fix soon. then comes the rust and front end service. got lucky though, a/c and sunroof work. power locks work when they want to. also, mileage is unknown, but the seller guessed at maybe 220k
just figured I'd share my first purchase with the fine people of the diesel forum and maybe turn it into a documentary thread.

nice score. I think I might have some 617 specific fuel filters laying around. I can toss those your way if I remember to bring them to the gtg

Nice choice for a first car. Congrats. One you diesel you never go back!

I notice it parked in front of a Masonic Lodge. Are you a Mason?
