Sometimes sarcasm is hard to read into on a computer screen. I did figure it out after I typed all that. But smilies go along way.

A properly running engine does not shake at idle (none of ours do), and, my motor mounts are almost 5 years old and are still fine, despite not having the engine shock in place.

I thought I sent you a good used set.

I will dig some out, if you want them.
You could pick them up on your next trip to Detroit.

A good set really makes a difference...

I don't mind a small shake when I turn off the car....its perfectly smooth when running.
After further review...
I stand corrected.
I now believe all 617's imported here did come with two shocks.
I apologize for any inconvenience.

Related question...

A related, but slightly different question to the crowd: how can I tell if the engine shocks on my car are good/bad.... is there a good test to figure out if they are worn or if they can be re-installed?!

Thanks
James

I got it, but I am bilingual in sarcasm.

If they resist in and out slow = they are good.

90% of the time it is the upper/lower mounts that go bad...
