Looks exactly like mine, but they upgraded some wood parts for the ashtray and area by the AT selector.

I would sell the 300SD. use the money to fix up the little mechanical stuff on your 240D, and get it a glossy black paint job

Did I mis-read, or is the oil in the car really 6 years old?
Regardless of the miles, you might want to think about changing it out if it has been oxidizing that long. Nice find for $1k! Tim
