Question Water Again???

Well, a few months ago I had replaced the A/C condenser hose in my 300D. This seamed to fix my water issues. But now there is still some water in the rear floorboard of the car. Also there has been water in the trunk fro some time. I have purchased a new trunk seal and will be installing that this weekend.

Does anyone have some ideas on the sources of the water in the trunk or the floorboard?

Thanks,

-Ddmassett

x2 on the rear window. Also, check out around the power antenna and brake lights. The trunk is big...you need to isolate where the water is coming from.

The water in the trunk (is it seems or seams?) to be coming from the left and right rear corners. It settles in the wheel wells and evaporates.

So when I open the trunk there is water all over the bottom side of the trunk lid. Also the carpets are perpetually moist.

Firewall.

Check for rust holes under the battery tray. Sounds like you may have more than one leak.

Jay.

Yea my battery tray is pretty rusty as well. I guess I need to get all of the drain plugs cleaned as well as a trunk/rear window seal.

Anything else I should add to the list?

I'm having the same problem, and I think the guys are right about the window seal. I'm getting so much water in there that it's forming on the inside of my trunk lid. My wife took the car through a brush type car wash 2 years ago with the radio on , and destroyed the antenna mast. When I finally tried to replace the mast, I found that the antenna motor was corroded up and was toast. Water had leaked into the unit, and i thought the busted antenna was the culprit. Still had the leak even after a new mast was put it "for looks", and to stop the water leak. This winter, I noticed a chunk of ice in the well where I keep my jumper cables and tools. I saw dripping right over the antenna motor area. Then I saw a small crack in the window seal. Looks like a new seal for me too. The new antenna power unit is on the way.
