The steering wheel looks too worn for 84k so does the edge of the brake peddle. I wonder if the mileage indicator has always worked or maybe the car has done a lot of short stop start & similar around town stuff. That can be hard on everything. The things i have mentioned are about how my old 300D looked after 150k of mainly highway use.

Sorry to be a "prophet of doom" but you need a few devils advocates to overcome any emotional thoughts about a car!! Just remember when a seller tells you "gee you really look good in this car" you need to be strong enough to think that you dont care what you look like in the car. It needs to be good in its own right!!

Looks like a pretty good crack in the dash over the instrument cluster in the 4th picture. That and the wear and the fading of the blue upholstery (same as my '85 300D with 232,000 miles but mine has not faded) suggests it either has more miles than claimed or has been exposed a lot (not garaged). All of that at least raises warning flags that a closer inspection is needed; I feel the price is high. The low mileage (if true) doesn't mean much if the car has 25 years of salt air/sun damage. If I can't sell my '85 for $6000 you shouldn't pay $9000 for this one.
