My Interior Light(85 SD) stays on after doors closed

Front Interior light remains on after doors are
closed. The light component is getting a false signal that
the doors are "open". I've unplugged it, changed bulb, and
still light remains on. ??

There is a dial right on the dome light, have you tried that yet? I forget which it has to be set to but there are 3 positions. Always off, Always on, and on when the door opens/closes for a few seconds. Pretty sure middle is always off. I believe forward is on when the door opens.

Do the puddle lights on the bottoms of the doors remain on?

The timer in the switch may be bad.

Puddle Lights do not remain "on".

The puddle lights work. It's just that they never
seem to stay "in place". Constantly have to shove
them back in place. ?? THanks bud !

Then it sounds like your dome light iself is bad, there is a time delay circuit in it. If you are handy with a soldering iron you could probably fix it, it's a fairly simple board.
