On the 85 300D , even with doors open, the trunk is staying locked. The central lock system does not work. No time to fix now before 3 month road trip. I just want to make it so i can open the trunk without using the key. Even with key in verticle position, you need to use key to open.

Is there something i can do with mighty vac to make it so that is open and then disconnect vacuum and plug the lines so i can just lock and unlock with key and will be able to open if its in the center verticle position without key? I think i'll try.

Unlock it with the key, remove the plastic cover behind the lock in the trunk and make sure the actuator slides freely.
