Question Coupe W-123 Vacuum Chambers ?

O.K. , my 1980 300CD's passenger side doorlock actuator died , I took it shopping this afternoon and couldn't match it to any W-123 Sedans nor W-126 Sedans .

Is this a Coupe only part ? .

The rod is different and cannot be removed from the old chambers like the ones I found in various Sedans can .

I'd hate to have to buy another $50.00 part for a car I'm prepping for sale but I can hardly offer it with dead Central Locking .

TIA ,

I looked up in the parts catalog.

in the picture, the upper on is listed for the CD, pricy.

the lower one is the sedan. Maybe the lower priced one could be adapted. for that price, I would try.

I don't believe it's coupe specific, but just the early style actuator. Maybe you can open it up and inspect the damage. Might get away with patching the diaphragm if it's damaged.

Thumbs up THANX !

The old book says : '78 ~ '81 CD ALL

'78 ~ '80 W-116 ALL

'77 ~ '81 W-123 Sedan rear door .

It's the blue one .

The diaphragms are crumbling rotted , no patching there .

The actuating rod is swadged into place , I don't see how to remove it atall .

I found it for $90 but I'm allready going to take a bath on this car as it has God alone knows how many tiny Dealer parts on it now , mo$tly rubber bits .
