good place to mail a driveshaft for modification?

Looking for the above. Local places are A, not impressing me with competence, and B, twice the price of the last time I had this done in a different state.

Anybody find a place that did a good job on the two piece MB driveshaft without nonsense that I can mail mine to? I am shortening it, and balancing it.

I paid about 120 bucks to have it done last time, but that place really does not like to do things by mail for some reason.

Its a lot more expensive, but Driveline Service of Portland is great.

For my diesel benz I found truck places to provide fair priced good service.

Trucks have multi-part drive shafts and shops that do trucks are equipped to jig a two piece
shaft for balancing.

The one I use is in Los Angeles.

Same thing for injection pump. Found a truck repair facility that had no problem doing my benz injection pump.

I got really lucky with Driveline service in Portland. They had a factory original driveshaft the length I needed right on their shelf.

Here's another place I ran across recently. Personally, I haven't used them but the references I've found really emphasized their service.

Im using Powertrain Industries. A branch did my driveshaft last time. This time Im looking at about 200 dollars to lengthen a driveshaft, install carrier bearing and related hardware, and install a new U-joint.

I was very impress with the guy, who called me to verify the lengths I had chosen. He wanted to check my measurement against factory specs in different MB models before he got into the work.

Atlanta Powertrains is one of the best driveline places I have ever used. I have worked for a trucking company for years and we send all of our driveshafts to them for repair and balancing. Always get the job done quickly and correctly. I sent my 300d driveshaft to them UPS when I moved to Nashville, and they returned it to me the same day they received it.
