Anyone feel lucky? 95 E300D

Would this even be worth looking at? Salvage Title can be scary. I did contat the guy, says it was becase of an accident, but the frame was not damaged...hmmmm...unibody car...no frame to damage, or is there?

It's being sold by a dealer...I would pass

No pic of damage. Looks like some one had done the repair & now wants to off load it.
Unless they can come completely clean about it, best stay right away.

My car has a salvage title

My car was in collision with a deer and because of its age the insurance company totaled it. The repair was about $3K but it's an 83. I bought it back because it was just pristene and had it fixed. The salvage title does not bother me. I know what happened.

BridelessRacing 03-11-2010 09:20 AM

Nothing wrong with a salvage title if it was fixed corectly

rrgrassi 03-11-2010 09:58 AM

Being that this is a used car lot, how can one tell if the repairs were done correctly? Take it to a collision center for part two of a PPI?

The price is decent for the mileage and color, especially if it is a leather car (says so, but I doubt it) as they're hard to find.

However, the salvage title should ding it at least 20%, which makes the price too high IMO.

If there's no history/documentation of why it is a salvage or rebuilt title, seriously difficult to sell, if you're buying then it should be really cheap or buy to keep, ... forever.

Agree with babymog. With a salvage title you're buying to keep and drive, not resell.

If the mileage is legit and the car runs great and you can verify that there is no major structural damage, and finally, check if the A/C is working (the temp dial turned all the way to red is curious) you would have a car that will go 300K miles in style and comfort, economically.

I've got 275,000 on my w123...

I am not looking to buy this car. I never really trusted the "tote the note" type dealers. I happened to see it on Craigslist while I was looking for w123 parts and pricing w126 cars.

That W124 has been on CL for a while now Ralphie. What bothered me was the headliner issues. You can always super low ball...
