The 300TD (wagon) gets many questions that could be answered with a good photo, or a simple arrow edit...

Example: Third row seat...

Digging up the photos takes time.

Very interesting, especially the ACCIII part. Although I've definitely seen more then one NA 123 with ACCIII, although all of them were '81's.

It really is amazing what happened that year! Mine didn't come with hubbies either, unless that was an addition of your own/previous owner.

Your VIN pulls up a lot more options too, weird.

Very odd about options since it really seemed to me to be very plain Jane. But then again, most wagons got the same stuff really. However, I find it weird that the Russian site shows it to be an '81 via option 801.......{see below} Need to check that with the EPC build sheet. **Edit** EPC says "Datacard Faulty" and gave no info other than engine and tranny number. And only option numbers without description. Darn, I wanted it to say a year model...
BTW, the Smoker was purchased off ebay and was headed for Florida somewhere. Yall keep your eyes open for a cloud.....

What I find interesting is my 190E's VIN. It says Australia for some reason, and also has the year change option. We took delivery of it in June 1988, but I guess it was produced in 1987? Not sure...

Can anyone tell me how far the passenger seat reclines? I have been thinking it would be good to have a wagon so that I could fit my longboard surfboard in the car. I was hoping to be able to slot the nose down over the passenger side seat to the floor and let the rest of the board pass back through toward the rear door.

But I noticed the seat may not recline far enough backward?

My 1987 wagon was bought specifically for a similar reason, to tote beach catamaran sails. The front seat reclines completely back and the second seat folds flat. I can't speak for any other models.

If nothing else you could hang the board on her roofracks (husband windsurfs.)

Edit again: whoa... did the russian vin search and it says 'removed 1st aid kit and triangle.' when I got the car it had a 1st aid kit in it, which seems quite old and original. I did buy a triangle for her. Hm...
