1. Because the ISO designation is WDB not WBD-- you have named a non-existent brand from a non existant country

2. Also, there were never more than 73,000 of the 500SEL and 33,000 of the 500 SE models. There may be an error in the VIN per se, perhaps a 0 in place of the last 1 in 1a1?

The car lists either as a 500 series vehicle made exclusively for North America in 84-85 or a non North American car made later.

If they made that car in 1979, it won't show on the Russian register so if it was made as a 1979 500 series and was just 29,126, it won't show because it's not in the RU data base.

Just some thoughts.

sorry the vin is wdb; I mistyped.
It is a 1985 euro version, and I have the vin tag, so no mistake on the vin numbers. aren't we supposed to replace the "a" with a number?

I'm sure on the car it said 85- but it was a grey market car. I want the rear diff and wanted to make sure it's a limited slip version. I believe all 500's had limited slip but wanted to make sure.
