'83 Mercedes 240D quick problems.

Where can I find the fuse that is directly behind the radio? This fuse is not similar to the rest of the fuses and lies directly in the radio itself.

Also, where can I purchase/find the bulb that lights up my gearbox? Is it available at any ordinary electronics store or must I buy it at a more specific location?

Lastly, while my car was running, I tried unlocking my doors. One of the locks (specifically the rear right) wouldn't rise with the rest. Instead, there was a loud grinding/vibrating noise that was coming from the engine area. Is this a sign of a leak in one of the hoses, and it the noise was from the hose struggling to produce air pressure? A couple minutes later everything locked fine, but I was just worried.

Thanks.

unlocking the driver's door, caused the engine to make a noise?... strange.
the engine drives the vacuum pump, and the vacuum is stored in the brake booster, and the "egg crate" under the rear window in the trunk... I cannot imagine what would be vibrating during an unlock procedure...

Well maybe not the engine necessarily, but it sounded like it came from under the hood. As for the vibration, I could feel the hose under my feet (which I believe is directly over the vacuum) vibrating.

Would you happen to know the answers to the afore mentioned questions? Any website that sells old-style fuses would be helpful.

have you clicked the "buy parts" link at the top of the page? they stock an amazing array of stuff for these cars, and if over 100.00 is ordered, shipping is free, and usually next day.
