All you 606 owners, check out the engine detailing on this ebay '95!

Ebay item 170457904347.

He has a rather crack-induced buy-it-now price, but I suppose if one wants an outstanding example and has a fat checkbook, you never know.

Anyway, the engine detailing is pretty cool, I must admit. Those intake pipes must have been a bear to polish, as the castings are very rough to begin with.

Rgds,
Chris W.

Hmm

Sounds vaguely familiar.

Looks as if Steve (seller) has taken a less from these folks.
As discussed here. **See post #160 from Benny**

92.3% positive feedback from 12 sales, Is that even remotely possible? This is just fishy to say the least. O and WTF "The car has a original wood shift knob".

OK, first off, how on earth is it already at $8457.00????
Second, it is only an MB Tex version.
Third, what is up with the instrument cluster situation?
Fourth, grill and mirror work looks forced.
Fifth, with that funky instrument cluster, can the mileage be trusted?
Sixth, 43 miles per gallon my arse!!!!!!

There is more, I've just lost my will.......

entire engine is polished which he did by his hand and a buffer
The seller must be an alchemist. How else can you explain the aluminum to chromium transformation simply by polishing and buffing?

He spent 20 grand getting the engine detailed, that's why it's so much!

Why is it that no one seems to be able to write properly? That auction description was full of grammatical errors. The car is certainly nice. The description seems as if it were written by an elementary student at best. Perhaps I just expect too much?

Because most people today (under 50) have an educational level of a grammer school student of 50 years ago. Including college grads.
