need help with removing inner door panel

My power window made some horrible noises the other day while I raised it and now won't budge. So I tried to remove the driver side inside door panel last night to see what's up. It seems I found all the screws and fasteners that hold it in place but then it seemed to be hung up on the inside door handle (where you pull to unlatch the door). Anybody know what kind of linkage is back there and how to disengage it? Thanks.

yes, you have to remove the black plastic, and then take out the screw behind it...
assuming you have a 123 or a 126... not sure what other vehicles would hold the door panel on with.

(it helps if you post the type of car in the question)

yes, I have a 123. you mean the black plastic immediately around the chrome lever? Do you just pry it out with a screwdriver?

If it's the same as a 123, yes, you can use a flat head to gently pry out the black plastic. I like to start on the front (closest to the firewall) side then pull it out of the back, both the opposite will get you there too....

the plastic under the door opener handle.
not the plastic around the outside of the handle...
again, on a 123... no idea what a 210 handle would look like... but I bet it's the same.

Hi
Also on the 123, after you have all the fasteners and screws out, you need to lift the panel straight up to disengage a clip in a slot inside - about the middle of the panel.

Thanks for all the replies. sounds like there is a hidden screw underneath the door opener handle. I'll investigate tonight. I'll try to take pics & post them.
