1981 MB 300SD

I have a 1981MB 300SD diesel.

It is an awesome car and I'm loving it. I've noticed an oil leak at the front of the engine in what looks like a tube that comes up from the oil pan. I found a thread on this forum before about it and it tells which parts to replace and how to do it etc, but I cannot seem to find the thread again.

It's leaking oil like crazy and I want to get it fixed so I don't have any issues or chance blowing the engine.

Does anyone know where I could buy the parts form and what the parts would be? Or by chance happen to have the link to the thread I'm talking about?

Thanks

You will need to remove the pan to do it right. Get a new pan gasket, turbo tube o-rings, and the rubber bushing. Ideally you'd replace the lower section of tubing also. It is not really an "easy" job at all. If you are not confident in doing potentially complicated/difficult mechanic work, I'd take it to a decent MB shop and have them replace it. I had mine start leaking badly, and I was losing about 1.5 quarts a WEEK.
