Thats pretty cool.

Bad air filter though. The engine cannot breathe with that on there.

mercedes w210 has a rack n pinon steering, but I would think a model a is too small for that rack, maybe a c class rack n pinon

hmmmm I could do that with my 31 A... N mine has a rumble seat!

Shifter setup is quite tacky IMO.

Okay, thanks.

Very cool, and I'm typically a big fan of keeping things original. I picked up a 81 240D auto a while back for similar purposes (besides general W123 parts) so I could use the engine to repower an Austin Champ military we've got. The trick is adapting to the Champ's transaxle and reverser, but 5-speeds forward and reverse makes it worthwhile!

If you ever contemplate a rebuild of that engine. There was a fellow that converts the original blocks to pressure oiling etc. Price was not too bad back then. Then again you probably know far more about these engines than myself. Quite a few ford pinto engines got installed at one time. Or at least a few if I remember.

I will always remember that with the head off I could apply pressure just with my hands to each side of the block and visually see the bore change size. Litterly millions of guiys got their hands dirty on the model a and model t cars with no forum support back then.
