Well, I'm happy and slightly embarrassed to report that it just needed a good prime on the pump to get it going. I'm glad I have AAA and towed it home rather than the shop. That would have been an expensive fix to a simple solution.

How did the air get into the system? Did parking on the hill lead to that or is it just a fluke? Just wondering if I need to hunt down an air leak somewhere.

Check all the fuel lines and hoses between the tank and engine, chances are they are rusty/leaking air in at least a couple places. I replaced the lines on three of our cars, most were in such bad shape that they crumbled apart when removing them!
