Well I have just added a 93 300SD to my stable. I know of the rod bender title attached to these, but I just had to have one. It has 214K on the body, a Mercedes crate replacement engine with 145K. I got her for 2K local. The gas mileage will beat my 94 Range Rover LWB. I will use it on my daily commute to work. Round trip is a 100 miles per day, and I get paid .70 a mile with free diesel fuel from my job. I have a 1981 300TD EURO as a backup. Any advice other than run away from this. I forgot to mention the evap was also replaced. OK start bashing!!!!

If I read your post correctly - You are paid .70 per mile to commute to work. That means $70 per day with NO fuel costs. You will recoup your $2K in 29 days. I am sure it will take more than 29 days to bend the rod. What are you waiting for?
