E300 HID Xenon Headlight malfunction

I don't THINK it's the bulb.....anyone have a similar problem? The Indy seems to think it's the "igniter" which he quoted me $800 for ("it might be $790").

Wondering if anyone knows the part - doesn't seem like a wear part.

The history on this is that the passenger light went out - the driver side was working fine. I had to change the passenger side so I had the "bright" idea of changing the driver side at the same time. So I ordered two bulbs and replaced them both - all was fine for about a month. The DRIVER SIDE went out....so I put back in the old bulb (that was still working when I replaced it) but it neither works. The passenger side has worked fine w/a new bulb.

i replaced the xenon igniter and it works now.....total cost around $500 after tax

Where did you get the bulb from? I'm looking to fix this issue also, I keep finding it for a higher price. Thanks.
