transmission modulator
I just checked my transmission modulator and it it will not hold any vacuum. Fall to zero almost instantly. It's also leaking a little fluid.
I've ordered a new modulator, plastic pin, and a new cap. I have read that it's a very tight job and to expect for the old push pin to break. I'll buy some tweezers in case I have to fish out the pieces. After the modulator is installed I plan on adjusting the modulator using the DIY procedure. Anything else that I have missed? I also have a new trans filter and gasket. Should I wait to do those after or before the modulator? I was thinking I could change the modulator after the trans fluid is drained and before I remove the pan to change the filter. Is that okay? |

Replacing the modulator is an easy task, just make sure the area is clean.
you also have to replace the modulator seal/o-ring. you could do the transmission fluid and filter change at the same time, and the k-1 accumulator spring if you like.
