transmission modulator

I just checked my transmission modulator and it it will not hold any vacuum. Fall to zero almost instantly. It's also leaking a little fluid.

I've ordered a new modulator, plastic pin, and a new cap.

I have read that it's a very tight job and to expect for the old push pin to break. I'll buy some tweezers in case I have to fish out the pieces.

After the modulator is installed I plan on adjusting the modulator using the DIY procedure.

Anything else that I have missed?

I also have a new trans filter and gasket. Should I wait to do those after or before the modulator? I was thinking I could change the modulator after the trans fluid is drained and before I remove the pan to change the filter. Is that okay?

Replacing the modulator is an easy task, just make sure the area is clean.
you also have to replace the modulator seal/o-ring. you could do the transmission
fluid and filter change at the same time, and the k-1 accumulator spring if you like.
