Anyone whose ever owned a 126 knows about these switches. The post always breaks off making the switch useless.
I found a brass tube that fits snugly over the post and cut it to about 3/4inch but I forgot to measure it unfortunately. I just messed with it till it was a good length. To get the metal sleeve over the tube you will have to take a knife and carve a gap between where the post is broken off and the switch casing. This can be done without disassembling the switch just use a sharp knife so you don't break anything. Now that you can put the sleeve over the post, you will need to drill a bigger hole in the "seat" portion of the switch so that the sleeve will fit in it just like the post once did. Once you've done this, grease inside the tube and on the outside for good measure. Slide the sleeve over the post and pop the seat portion back on and your good to go. No gluing or anything since it holds itself together.
