Maybe the box is more genuine than the parts contained therein.

I will let you pioneer the Drilling and Tapping on that one (besides when I put the new boot on I filled it with Grease). Not to mention that I am the owner of a new set of Lemforders and I get another boot a set of new URO Ball joints; so if the ones I have on now should suddenly go out I have plenty of backups.
I am more worried that other parts of the Car; like the Vacuum Pump will not outlast the Ball Joints.

Thats just unacceptable considering that I have a used UCA in the garage with a boot thats made of eight inch thick rubber without a single hairline crack in it after many years of use.

However the lemfoerder lower ball joint is really nice looking. When i rebuilt the suspension I accidentally bought one meyle ball joint and one lemfoerder and the mechanic that pressed them in frowned upon the meyle joint and said that the tolerances were slightly wrong and questioned why I didn't just get two lemfoerders. Both boots are holding up great on the lower ball joints though.

Can anyone confirm the country of origin for URO? I thought it was Chinese but their website wasn't clear. Im suspecting they have suppliers in many different countries
The URO website said they can be made anywhere. The complete front suspension kit I got from FCP Groton had all URO parts. Not one of the parts or the packaging that the parts came in had were any of the parts were made.

When I removed the Boot from the URO Joint the Grease had that similar smell and consistency of Grease on made in China Tools and even a Gun from China that I own (entirely covered with Grease when I got it).

I do not have any objection to using the Made in China Joint as long as I feel it is going to fit.

I certainly do not want something to go 1/2 way in and get stuck there; better to avoid trouble and use another companies Joint.

I bought a Thermostat for my Volvo. The box said made in Israel but in tiny letters on the Thermostat it said made in Germany?

I got a set of Gabriel Shock Absorbers one was made in the US and the other was made in Mexico.

Before I put my Front Wheel Hub on I replaced the Seal. The Timken seal was made in Indonesia.

I believe you. Even re-installing the used Lemforder Ball Joint took a lot of force.

Yes, Lemfoerder Motor Mounts for my Car were made in Turkey. As it turnes out OM Motor Mounts = Phoenix(their logo is on the mount) = Lemfoerder = Made in Turkey.
The Mercedes Star is ground off of the Lemfoerder Mounts.
