My dad is worried that if something goes wrong we may need an extra day to get the truck fixed since its so far from home

I tried getting him to work on the truck on Sunday... but no dice.

I'm sorry but I thinking I'm stuck helping my old man. In trade he is going to help me build the drive shaft I need for my manual swap.

Well it looks like we are meeting up in the parking lot of bank of Rio Vista. looks to be next to Fosters Big Horn where we are going to eat.

Iam bringing my wife along, so tell your GF she won`t be alone. maybe throw in the word "shopping" .

Iam coming from santa Cruz. guess the easiest route for me is come over the hill, grab 680 to 580, 205 to I-5 north. grab Hwy 12 to Reo Vista.

I don`t remember what time to gather up, 9am? I`ll probably roll out about 5:30am.

Not a very big town, so shouldn`t be too hard to find a bunch of Old Mercedes.
we`ll have to circle the wagons and fight off the enviro nuts from the smoke screen .

Here is the parking lot I was originally thinking of meeting in.

9am sounds right, I don't know if that ever made it to this post, but lets make that official... even though I won't be there

I know when we scouted the route the ferries are free. I'm not sure if that made it to this post ether. With the map linked above I hope everyone has a good drive. if all else fails, Jim knows Fosters Big Horn, and that place is amazing, so just fallow Jim to some good food!

I planned to print out maps for everyone, but I will not be there, so you will have to print your own map from the PDF above.

Good Luck!!!! I look forward to the pics!

Sirnik when the dust settles, we`ll make a drive up your way and see what you are doing. I`ll bring the 300D and you can drive it to see if you like the up grade.
I just replaced the sub frame and trailing arm bushings, swaped the diff to a lower milage one and replaced the arms that had lower milage. easier than changing wheel bearings. also painted every thing up real purdy under there.
now if I can just get these new parking brake shoes installed . not hard to do, just don`t want to cooperate.

I would like to see your SD Manual trans project.

too bad you can`t be there, but family comes first, and you won`t have your dad for ever. mine just turned 89. be careful on your trip to Weed.

Hi all....

Listen - I was going to make the drive up there but I hear Bondavi cannot now make it and since SirNik can't either, AND add to the fact that it's probably going to rain, why don't you guys postpone it a week. That way SirNik and Bondavi will be there and probably no rain and I won't have to drive 700 miles in the rain either....

Good Idea?

mclare's right, I can't make it. Just found out today I have the 2 most-feared words, family and unavoidable. Yet it can be a good thing, altho this means I can't make it this Sat.

IF for any reason its postponed due to weather, I'm definitely IN for the sequel!

My '90 Euro just went into Ernie's today for the next few, incidentally!

I'd love if an event w/ Sir Nik present, good weather, and all the rest of us were present, so MAYBE the gods can move the moons a BIT!
