Bosch injector nozzle question

Bosch injectors made in germany stamped on the body of the injector, with slightly golden looking nozzles is what i found on my newly aquired 300d turbo, is this what new old stock nozzles look like?
Every other injector i have ever seen that was pulled out of one of these cars was dark and or metal color? are new Bosch nozzles bronze or golden?
Thanks

My Monarks went in with a normal metal color. I expect to see that if / when they ever come out.

i am puzzled to learn what these things could be, injector body seems very clean and they read germany 135 bar on them, but the nozzles are a bright bronze gold and very clean.

The only way to know 100% would be to remove the Injector Nut and read what is on the side of the Nozzle. However, ounce you do that it is possible for dirt to get inside and if disturbed enough for parts to get mis-aligned.
If there is a member in your area that has had his Injectors apart perhaps he could be an advisor.

Polished Tool Steel exposed to heat will change color; the color is due to an oxide coating.
Also if an Oil leak caused oil to fill the area around the Nozzles the Heated Oil could stain the Nozzles.

Good topic.

A couple years ago a company in South Florida was selling nozzles described as "Bosch diesel, new manufacture, made in Germany."

Some members of another forum photoed and asked, "Does this look right?"
-description from memory-

(Box and plastic capsule with nozzle inside)
Bosch logo, Bosch name, part number, description, bar code.

The question was about the label, "Fabrique au Germany" on both the box and capsule. I had to ask my wife about the required labeling regulations. A post war law (something about the Marshall plan) required the label to be "Made in Germany" in English if for export. Otherwise, it's "Hergestellt in Deutschland"

THEN I thought something doesn't ring true here... the old man is originally from Belgium (French speaking) and I emailed him...his answer, "You know better than that - speak correctly, you sound like a four year old!" I explained the label. His next response, "Not only is that mixing language but WRONG grammar." Correct = "Fabrique en Allemagne" The exception being Canadian French slang/dialect. BTW, he often get a kick out of telling Canadians, "I'm sorry I can't quite understand you, could you speak French?" with the thickest Brussels accent he can do!

The obviously incorrect, Fabrique au Germany, roughly translates to "Made (at or from-varies with context) Germany." The consensus was these were most likely from China.

I can remember a few years ago, there was a bit of Chinese stuff, mainly electrical coming on the market. Much of it had "Made in USA" on it. The word was that there was an industrial estate some place in China that was named USA.

What does it actually say on them? Bosch? Germany? made in Germany?

If you mean the nozzles themselves, I don't know. I never bought any.

bobo,
we maybe talking about different things. I heard about the Jap one, The Chinese one did occur, not only that, you could buy designer clothes with any label you like on them. I have several biz shirts with labels & pockets that suggest that they are a designer brand from Paris, they were about $1 each in HK a few years ago. The Chinese are good at putting what ever label they like on things.
