timing chain replacement-jammed?!

A couple of posts down from the top. It describes the re-fitment of the pump, but removal is just re-fitment--reversed--sorta...!

Great, thanks alot guys for the info. I got some people saying only a mechanic should touch the IP and some say its okay. Ill read the links and see if Im up for it.

I did not mean you could not remove the Fuel Injection Pump from the Engine or even that you couldnot time the IP yourself.
It is just that there are limited parts of the IP that can be messed with by even a good Mechanic.
After that you need some more specialized knowlege and if you take enough apart a lot of equipment.

Well after reading the above link and my service manual I think I may have to pass on that one. Seems too complicated for me.

Anyone have an idea of what labor will cost for doing the above as well as calibrating the fuel pump back to normal?
