Nardi Wheel for Norm

After looking for a Nardi wheel for a while, then giving up, and the having forum member RPM55 give me a price that couldn't be beat, I purchased a Nardi steering wheel for Norm. Fighting with the steering wheel bolt was difficult, but I finally got it off and got the wheel on.

Here is how it looks, what do you think?

It's a little harder to turn the wheel given it's smaller diameter, but I like the way it looks.

It looks good...
Those wheels looks awesome in an Alfa, DeTomaso and so on. In a W123 however, it seems a little out of place. The big bus wheel is a part of the experience.

But what a beautiful car though!

Damn!! I like that!

Is that the same diameter as the factory wheel?

Get that hammer claw off those leather seats!

Love the Nardi. Still on the fence though.

Yeah it's a lot smaller, I can't see half the gauges when I'm driving lol.

I'll have to decide which is more important, looks or function, but so far I really like it.

Looks pretty nice. I think in a car with darker colors -- black and wood grain instead of the blue -- it might fit in a little neater -- but it does look interesting. I'm a fan of the bus size wheel as well but whatever feels good in your hands.

All in all, my vote is keep it if you like it :-D

I have liked Nardi wheels for a long time. Yours looks great. they are a pesonal thing.

The first one i ever saw in a MB, was a W116, burgndy, with tan interior. I fell in love with that wheel, and that car even if it was a gasser.
A lady drove it, and it was always in great shape. then later I saw some kids driving it, and it went down hill from there.

I have a Nardi wheel I pulled off an old W108 at PNP a couple years ago. think I paid $10 for it. needs a little touching up, get around to it one day and then mount it.

I would look good on the SD. it is dark grey with black interior.

I love Norm of course, but I just think the Nardi belongs in an SL and while it is an extremely nice steering wheel it just seems a bit out of place in a W123.
As others have said, I need the bus steering wheel in a W123.....

Ya, the huge wheel is just part of the experience of driving an old benz. I like the huge wheel in my SDL, it makes driving on the highway easier.

I think it looks great. I never did this to Ol' Turbo, Norm or others because of cost primarily. I had to do it in the SL so I could fit.

in my humble humble opinion, it looks absolutely terrible dude. Personally I think the best looking wheel is the stock one. Ive never liked any aftermarket wheel in any old mb though (sorry sirnik84). I also like the fact that when I get in a collision my teeth wont get knocked out lol. The wheel is infact a safety feature. Plus with the big wheel you can control the car with your finger tips while your arms are resting on the rests.

even looks pretty terrible in the 107 models. Looks like it belongs in a tiny little old italian car or something. Just has no class...

I like it.

I have always liked the large benze wheels until I got my Miata. Now it feels like a school bus whenever I drive it. I have a really nice old Saab leather covered wheel which came on the EMS which is smaller than the normal saab wheel and much smaller than a benze wheel. I may put it on one of these days.
