Stop screw for wheels turning
On my 82, I notice my tires rub the shaft that connects the lca (to the torque mount?). It seems this happens at far turns, especially when backing up.
I was wondering what it might be. The car is aligned at least well enough to be straight going down the road, and the steering and suspension is tight. Could there be some sort of stop screws that are out allowing the wheels to go foo car? Could the chrome bundts on my car be causing this? Thanks!

I had the same question but you beat me to asking about it. Here are some pics I have of my changing the LBJ. The first is the scuffed arm the second is what looks like something that should have a bumper on it but neither my 83 nor 85 300d have anything there. I circled the area on the pic.
edit: I already know I have to change that boot and/or the tie rod end.
