Time to get me personalized plates.

Its that time of year and this year I am getting personalized plates. Vote for your favorite (ps ska is not dead). I think RUDEBOY is my fav.

DieselPaul 04-21-2010 02:48 PM

Rudeboy makes me think of Rihanna. Not a fan of the song.

I like winmutt. I just got reserve plates for my D.

You should get either this

A55 RGY

or

WWVVWVW

;)

Junkman 04-21-2010 04:47 PM

I've always thought vanity plates were pretentious. Akin to add on whale tales on Hondas. All show & no go.

jt20 04-21-2010 05:01 PM

BRNSOEL ?

Shawn T. W. 04-21-2010 05:13 PM

I second that.

charmalu 04-21-2010 10:06 PM

X3, why give the government any more money, just more for them to waste.

Calif must have a dozen different plates for different causes.

to answer your question, Iguess winmutt.

Still bouncing from the first time I saw the slackers in 97 or 98.

Think about:
MSG2RDY
TWOTONE
TOASTRS
HEPPCAT
WKNDNLA

H-townbenzoboy 04-21-2010 11:11 PM

What's up with all the downers with their negativity toward these plates? Who cares if you don't like them? Winmutt obviously does like them, otherwise his topic would be "Should I get personalized plates?" instead of "Time to get me personalized plates." I doubt your opinions will sway him.

As for me, I voted for GOT OEL, but I have a suggestion that's not on the list. How about something like OM617 or MY W123? A bit more personalized dontcha think?

Personalized plates attract too much attention. You may get let go for a minor thing & the next day they recognize your plates.
How about

BOOKME3

STOLEN1

1RHEAD

EGO123

IATHIEF

IAFELON

BACKOFF

ITSMINE

HAHAHA

ISPEEDN

CLUNKER

DRUNK1

IAIDIOT

PAYED4

moon161 04-22-2010 08:01 AM

Keep in mind tho, SKANKER, and SKANKIN are unfortunately close to SKANKY. People may get the wrong idea.

KarTek 04-22-2010 08:23 AM

I'm your first vote for "got ska". English beat forever!

And, Rudeboy = The Clash!

I have vanity plates on my cars.

Here's the CD and TD:

I ordered the plate for the SDL a few weeks ago and I'm waiting to get it back to see if I got 300SDL or 1986SDL.

MrGiggles 04-22-2010 08:51 AM

Just a couple I though of.

DSLPWRD
TRBPWRD

StaggerLee 04-22-2010 10:17 AM

Ditto, not only law enforcement, there are other drivers on the road with attitudes that only need a slight spark to cause them to do something stupid. Personally, I would avoid anything, such as "RUDEBOY".

If you're going to go with personalized, stick with something you and only a few other "informed insiders";) understand what it means.

I was able to obtain last July, Non personalized plates for my Mercedes *AND* '08 Subaru Outback when they came out, in the normal alphanumeric sequence in Santa Barbara, the only problem being was that they ONLY could be picked up at the DMV field office from where they were issued.

For the 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis maybe I can snag "6MGM009" which should issue in a couple of months.

For winnmutt I would suggest a personalized plate like one I saw on a Rolls Royce in San Francisco once:

" GETN BYE " ... :D

RDMSTR (Blinky and the Roadmasters - Crucian Scratch music, "caroline")
BATTLAX (The Upsetters - "Battle Ax")
ENABELA (Eric 'Monty' Morris "Enna Bella", she is-a from hell-a)
PENYREEL (Eric 'Monty' Morris "Penny Reel")

How goeth the Motoroam?

NoSparkNeeded 04-22-2010 04:38 PM

What's up with all the anti-personal plate stuff? I think they are pretty cool.
I love to figure out the more obscure ones. I saw a black Jeep in town that had BAABAAH. That made me spit coffee all over myself laughing.

Like it or not, these plates tend to have a certain "stigma."
