Where to buy brake booster vacuum hose in nor cal bay area?
I live in Napa and I need the booster hose. In the EPC catalog it's listed as two different part numbers? A1234305829 and A1234307429. I found it on ******** az so I can always order it there but I would rather just replace the 27 year old hose since it's only ~$35. If anybody knows where I can find a new hose I would appreciate the information. Thanks in advance!

I just bought one the other day. I snapped one of the nipples while messing with the primer pump. autohauz has them for $35, I found one at the dealership for $39. Bought from the dealership since I was already there getting an ignition tumbler.
There seems to possibly be two types of hoses. The most common being where the two nipples are close together.

Call Phil
I second the motion. Phil has always had the best price on OEM parts, and has gotten them to me in the middle of BFE the next day. And since you're in the same state, the shipping will cost even less, and arrive at your doorstep.
My 2 cents worth. Torie

Mine came in today. A very easy fix. Think is supposed to be 19mm but 3/4 inch worked fine. The connector on the vac pump was hard to break loose. Almost banged a knuckle. It took a while to unscrew because you don't have a lot of room. The connector on the brake booster appears to be plastic so be careful. Remember lefty loosey- righty tighty.
I removed the old hose assymbly, ran the new one through the firewall to the booster. Finger tight, then to the Vac pump, again finger tight. Check the position of the grommet that connects to the filter and the connector that connects to the shut off hose. All looks good. Tighthen the connectors with the 3/4 inch wrench. Took for a test drive. All works well.

Some how I missed the "subscribe to thread" button and missed all the replies.... I actually found one at my local Napa auto parts. It's a cohline brand hose just like I found online. I would have ordered it but I needed it faster than I could get it shipped, and I got it for less than it would have costed for overnight shipping anyways.
Thanks for all the replies. I have found this forum to be great help. |

mine looks a bit old at 197K
I took a nice one from a wrecked car. It seems to be 19mm Question can I just take the old off my car & install the newer or will I have to do anything like get air out of the lines or something? So finger tight & a tad more should be the way to go?

The engine vacuum pump will have sucked all the air out of the brake booster by the time the engine settles from starting.
